Silver Hat-trick for Kimberleyland

For the third year running, Kimberleyland Waterfront Holiday Park has nabbed the SILVER Award for the Caravan and Holiday Parks Category in Western Australia. Always the Bridesmaid….. but hey, it’s great to be part of the bridal party!

What does it take to get a Tourism Award? In WA it means your Tourism Business must be accredited to be eligible to enter, this is a process we go through every year. To address the Awards criteria your business must have introduced improvements, create new marketing strategies, supported your local community, environment, local tourism industry as well as create a friendly customer service. It’s a lot of boxes to tick and it’s a fair effort to put that forward.

A massive THANK YOU to our wonderful staff who do the heavy lifting and do it so well. THANK YOU Mark and Steph who truly do an awesome job managing the park. Thanks to Liz for her awesome barista brews at our onsite café, Spilled the Beans. The dynamic Lyndell & the girls in reception, keeping it running smoothly and selling tours on behalf of East Kimberley Tour Operators. Daniel our head groundsman who ploughs through the heat to keep the gardens and lawns looking immaculate and the pool sparkling. Pebbles and her crew of cleaners who ensure our facilities are absolutely spotless! It’s a top team we are so proud of!!

The Awards night was a lot of fun, we got to meet (in person) our friends Tiffany, Simon, Melissa and Dean from Wintersun Tourist and Caravan Park (Bronze Winners) and caught up with our old friend Chris (ex-Kununurra) from RAC Cervantes (Gold Winners).

It wasn’t just about Kimberleyland for us either, our owner and director Chris Magnay was able to collect the Hall of Fame Awards for the Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster which is an achievement when the organisation wins three Gold Medals in a row. Way to go!

We were also THRILLED to see five other awards for East Kimberley Businesses including the Kununurra Country Club and Resort (GOLD), Aviair (GOLD), HeliSpirit (SILVER), Kimberley Croc Motel (SILVER) and Bungle Bungle Guided Tours (BRONZE). Special mention to finalists Kimberley Air Tour who only just missed out on a medal.
