THE BEST PARKS WE HAVE STAYED AT ON OUR TRAVELS AROUND OZ - Trip in a Van

Kunnunnurra and surrounds is amazing! We stayed a week here at the Kimberleyland Waterfront Holiday Park and it was such a fantastic place to base ourselves and get out about to see all the hot spots in the area!!  It's a beautiful caravan park located right on the shores of lake Kunnunnura and they offer some great waterfront sites that have seriously good views over the lake at sunrise and sunset. 

The facilities are outstanding with BBQ area's and a huge outdoor kitchen and dining area. The amenities are spotless and the grounds and garden are kept in top condition. They offer canoe hire for enjoying the lake and also the option to store your van in a secure location if your looking to head off and tackle the Gibb River Road.  Plenty of grassy and shaded areas to enjoy a picnic and the Tropical pool is the best for cooling off and relaxing for a few hours. 

An Onsite Cafe called "Spilled The Beans" does a wicked coffee and some great eats as well, perfect for that morning pick me up!!

When you check in at Kimberleyland the staff give you a fantastic welcome pack that has heaps of good info on what to do around the area. Waterfalls, swimming holes, lookouts and tourist attractions are on the list. Make sure you stay long enough to check them all out, there is so much to do around Kunnunnurra.

If Your feeling Adventurous and would like to check out any of the tours in the area, be sure to talk to the girls at reception and they can give you all the info you need and can even book you a tour or charter. We can highly recommend Northbound Charters to go and get yourself a Big Barra on the Ord River and check out some big crocs as well. 

And definitely get onto a Lake Argyle Cruise to see this amazing place from the water, it was one of the best tourist activities we have done on our travels. They run a shuttle bus to pick you up and drop you off from Kimberleyland.

We had such an exciting, yet relaxing week here at Kimberleyland. We will be leaving with fond memories and stories to tell. We highly recommend adding a stay here to your Western Australia and Kimberley Adventure, it's AWESOME!!
